Sentience Clothing is an ethical clothing company based in the North West of England. Our products are completely vegan-friendly as we strongly believe that humans and animals are equal, hence not to be used for our own benefit. 

Sentience is the ability to feel or perceive things; a quality which both humans and animals share. 

Our products have been screen printed meaning that they can be washed up to 40°C. However, tumble drying is not recommended and hand washing is preferred.  

The printing company we work with is eco-friendly and the inks used for the screen printing are water-based. Most importantly, the inks and other methods used in the process are VEGAN, meaning that they contain no animal-derived ingredients and are not tested on animals.  

All our garments are Earth Positive which means that they have a 90% reduced carbon footprint compared with that of other tote bags. Also the cotton we use is organic which means that no pesticides are used in its production which is much better for the environment also. 

All our products also carry a 'Fairwear' accreditation. This means: 

• No use of child labour 

• No use of forced labour 

• Safe and healthy working conditions 

• Legal labour contracts 

• Payment of living wage  

• Freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining

• No discrimination against employees  

• No excessive hours of work.
